Babymoon

This weekend we headed to the wine country for our "Babymoon". We stayed in Healdsburg, enjoyed the sun, pool, vineyards, great food and shopping. It was such a nice relaxing weekend. Of course we got some belly pics in too!

Speaking of belly, little baby boy Griffin was moving like crazy in my tummy over the weekend. Matt and I are so excited to meet the little guy. My first pregnancy has been very enjoyable and time has really flown by. August 22nd marks one month until our due date. I am very curious to see if this last month will go by quickly or slowly...

Lauren's Wedding

We had Lauren's wedding August 14th where I was thrilled to be Lo's Matron of Honor. I was SO happy to have energy for the big celebration. The wedding was a fairytale, such a fun time, and a beautiful bride. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Zoob! (This also marked the weekend my feet began to swell...)

Baby Prep!

With a little over six weeks to go we decided to shift even more into baby mode; this consisted of preparing more for our little guy and also doing some more adult stuff.

A little while ago we had decided to try to eat out at non-kid friendly places we've never been before we are blessed with our little one and when dining out will no longer be as easy! Last Thursday we tried a new restaurant, Ristobar, great Italian food although I missed out on the formaggi and charcuterie starters - we'll have to go back for date night or try to sneak a stroller in.

Friday night Matt put together our stroller. Yes, that is Matt's Filson diaper bag attached to it from our good friend, Ted Brown. Matt says one day it will be our little boys hunting bag...

Saturday Matt spent the day at home making boar sausage 3 different ways. He commented how he loves our home and is looking forward to being homebodies this Fall... We'll check back in on that one! I made my 2nd trip to  Babies R Us. It was a little less intimidating. I picked up a mobile. The bones of the mobile were good, however I used my sewing skills and swapped out the monkey stuffed animals for ducks to honor Matt's passion for ducks :) Now we just need a place to hang it. The crib is in the garage for after we move and the cradle for the bedroom is on backorder.
Mobile before Griffin touches
Mobile after Griffin touches - still need to add one more duck!
Saturday night we went to a friends fiesta where they had an ice luge of a rubber ducky wearing a sombrero. The hostess is pregnant and there were 7 expecting ladies at the party all due within 2 months of one another. There must be something in the water. The men enjoyed the ice luge and their designated drivers. This morning Matt enjoyed an early round of golf with the guys while I did my first round of baby clothes washing - bought some Dreft - love the smell. Tonight it's friends/couples dinner!
