Thanksgiving

We were so excited to celebrate William's first Thanksgiving at our home in San Francisco. We hosted Maggie, Tom, Pat and Opal. We are so thankful for many things at this time in our life.

I have dressed William up a few times recently and although I think he looks so adorable he also looks like a little man and I love to put him back in his "baby" onesies.

8 Week Checkup

We had William's 8 week checkup yesterday. He now weighs 12 pounds (75%ile) and is 23 inches (60%ile). He is growing so quickly and has been focusing and interacting with us more which has been very fun. We have started hearing him coo which is just adorable. 

He still loves to be held, he finally likes baths (since Mom figured out how to keep him warm), likes his carrier, likes his swing, likes belly time, likes to be rocked, likes to sleep on Mom and Dad's chest, and likes to hear Mom sing to him. He is getting use to his stroller, cradle, pacifier, burping and car rides (the first few blocks can be hard and then he falls asleep), diaper and clothes changing is still hit or miss.

4 Year Anniversary

November 18th was our 4 year anniversary. That evening we made a delicious dinner at home and William slept in his swing through the entire meal! The following weekend the 3 of us headed to the wine country. Saturday morning I overheard Matt asking William if he'd like to join us on a little trip to celebrate our anniversary - it was so cute! We went to a few wineries and had room service for dinner. It was a wonderful and special time, however very different than past trips considering the baby element.

Kira Natalie Littlefield and trip to LA

The Griffins did a roadtrip to LA the first  week of November. We were so lucky to be down there when on November 10th, Prescott's 30th Birthday, his wife Christina went into labor. William was thrilled to meet his cousin Kira Natalie Littlefield, 6 pounds, 13 ounces and 20.5 inches. Besides meeting Kira, William had great quality time with Baba, Grandpa, his Uncles and a handful of Mom's highschool and college friends.

One Month and Halloween

October 30th marks one month of William in our lives. Time has flown by but we also can't really remember life before William.

We had our 4 week checkup and William now weighs 10 lbs 2 oz.

Two Weeks Old - Many Firsts

William is two weeks old as of Thursday October 14th. We are having a wonderful time getting to know our little guy. We can't keep our eyes off him and we are filled with so much love. We have been fortunate enough to have Baba (my Mother) here to help us during the past two work weeks and next week. We have had two Dr.'s checkups and William now weighs 8 pounds 13 ounces and is a healthy baby. Of course we are learning new sleeping patterns and our little one's crying cues however we could not be happier!

William met all his Grandparents minutes after he was born at the hospital. He has also met Uncle Prescott and Uncle Brandon and many of our friends (his additonal Aunties and Uncles.)



1st breath of fresh air - 1st time in car seat - 1st car ride. So far I like my car seat and car rides, I usually fall asleep right away.



1st time in my cradle at home. I sleep just feet away from Mom right now so she can help feed and change me anytime I make a peep and ask her to.



1st time watching a Giants Game. Mom seems to watch me more than the game...



1st Luncheon with Mom and Baba at Rigolo in Laurel Village.




1st Bath at home - I am not as content during the bath, but I do like the blow dryer on me afterward.

This is one of Mom's favorite days and my parents were so happy we could have a social outing.

William Henry Griffin - Welcome to this World

We are so happy to announce that William Henry Griffin has joined our lives. He was born 9/30/10 at 9:21PM, weighing 8lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long.

Week 41

Today is week 41. I never thought I'd say that. However tomorrow morning I am scheduled to be induced. Matt and I are so excited to meet our little guy and introduce him to the world. We have all of our parents flying/driving in tonight or tomorrow and some siblings to visit soon too! We are so thankful for all the thoughts and love from family and friends. We will keep you posted...

Matt and I went down to Crissy Field/The Marina Green where about 5 months ago we had the gender of our little guy revealed. It's a special place, I love going down there, it was so peaceful and beautiful this evening. I imagine many stroller walks along the water in the future. I think the weather in San Francisco is going to be great the next few days so if not in labor I hope to be out and about enjoying our city. Although this week I have had some sweet and some funny comments from strangers when they realize how far along I am. Some believe I should be sitting at home waiting for my water to break...

Also for fun we measured my belly tonight - 41.5 inches!

September 23rd and Grounded

It's September 23rd and our sweet little boy is officially one day late. Dad and I keep joking he will be grounded once we meet him :) We truly thought he would be a week early and have been asking him daily to come out and join us! It is such an exciting time. We have been anxiously waiting and can't wait to meet the little guy. The proud Grandparents to be are on standby for our call with bags packed ready to hop on a plane! Hopefully news soon...

39 Weeks

Today marks 39 weeks and we are ready for Baby Boy Griffin. I went to the Dr. yesterday and I am 2cm dilated but they said that doesn't mean too much - he could come today, on the due date (September 22nd) or I could be induced in 2 weeks. For the planner I am this isn't the easiest! Then again I know I am in for many surprises in Motherhood.

We tried a new restaurant, Prospect, same team as Boulevard in San Francisco, for dinner with our friends Kylie and Jesse last night. It was delicious and a fun time! Every night/dinner we wonder is this our last quiet dinner before we are a family?

We took some belly pictures last night. Yes, I have a burn on my stomach from boiling water as I was trying to sterlize bottles and pacifiers... still learning over here.

I feel very big - my belly is in the way all the time - 39 Week Belly Pictures directly  below. I have included some previous belly pictures on this also as Matt and I laugh at the past when I was so excited to be showing and thinking I was so big!

Labor Day Weekend

September 3rd was Matt's 33rd Birthday and we stayed in town for Labor Day Weekend (keeping near the hospital.) We were thrilled to have the Brown's visit us from Colorado. Heather and Ted brought Avery (2 years, 3 months). It was so great to spend time with their family. We went out to dinner, went to the Bay Discovery Museum, visited local parks, did some Chestnut Street shopping/strolling, cooked some great meals at home and had the Zanders and their 3 month twins over for dinner. All in all a very nice family oriented weekend! I think our little guy wanted to join the fun - I had a fair share of Braxton Hicks which we even started timing and at one point we thought it was go time but things have calmed down since...

This is my first week of maternity leave and I am really enjoying the time off. Two weeks from today is the official due date and we couldn't be more excited!
